Filippo Brunelleschi (*1377 Florenz; †1446 Florenz),
discovers the linear perspective with mirrors.

Because of his foreshorten painted panels in 1410 of the Piazza San Giovanni
and Piazza della Signoria, he is hold for the discoverer of the mathematically
constructable perspective und its laws.

His main work is the cupola of the Florentine dome Santa Maria del Fiore from
1418 until 1436, which not only exceeds with its dimensions the pantheon
in Rome but also is the first double-shelly cupola.
